I Could Never Be Your Woman, Rosie is a 40-year-old single mother living in Los Angeles, and her life is not going as planned, just like for everyone else. She is the producer of a TV show called You Go Girl, which is in jeopardy; her boss Marty is considering replacing her show with a reality show, and her assistant Jeannie is out to sabotage her. Things are also not going well at home. Her ex-husband is expecting a baby with his new, younger wife, and her daughter Izzie is hanging out with a rebellious young man, Dylan. When the young and talented actor Adam Perl auditions for her show, Rosie's heart skips a beat... But as a 40-year-old mature woman, falling for a much younger man doesn't seem right at all.
